Glendalough painting

So honoured that my painting of Glendalough was presented to outgoing US Ambassador Kevin F. O Malley at last night’s gala in RDS Dublin. It was presented by Manging Director of BT Ireland Shay Walsh for ambassador’s contribiution to Ireland.
The painting was beautifully framed by The Gaslamp Gallery in Gorey.

This watercolor was painted in November from photo references taken on Fergus Dixon memorial walk in Glendalough. We were really lucky that day, it was clear and crisp and I really loved this view, showing the depth and all the colors of autumn.

I really hope that it would bring to life great memories that Ambassador O’Malley made during his time in Ireland.
