Beyond the Jasmine

Painted during the Dublin Plein Air Painting Festival in the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, on one of those gloriously hot summer days when finding shade became the priority. I settled beneath this beautiful pergola near the entrance, where white Spanish jasmine filled the air with its incredible fragrance. What began as a quiet corner gradually came to life as lunchtime arrived. Garden staff, local workers and visitors drifted in, drawn to the cool shade and the nearby fountain, taking a moment to sit, chat and escape the heat.
I was captivated by the view through the pergola, the structure creating a gentle tunnel that leads towards the bench at the end, with soft patches of sunlight scattered across the ground. More than anything, this painting reminds me how important shade can be – not just as relief from the sun, but as a place to pause, breathe and simply be for a while.

Returns
I want you to be happy with your painting, so if for any reason you don’t like it, you can return it back to me within 7 days from the date you received it and I will refund full amount minus PayPal/credit card fee. This time you will be responsible for delivery charges so pick your painting wisely. If the painting was damaged during transit I will cover all return costs.
I do everything I can so the images online accurately represent the painting. But all the screens differ, so there might be slight differences in colour. Before purchasing please try viewing the painting on different screen (laptop, pc, phone etc)
Frame
I offer simple white box frame with acrylic glass for all my limited edition prints. If you are interested in different frame please contact me, and I can have that arranged for you for an additional fee.
