I’ve wanted to paint this view for years. It’s the path beside the railway viaduct in Balbriggan, and every time I came here there was some reason not to paint it – usually the wind. During the Dublin Plein Air Painting Festival I finally decided it was time.
It’s not the easiest spot to work from. Every time a train comes through, especially the fast intercity ones, you get a rush of wind, people are constantly passing by, and dropping a brush isn’t really an option because it’s a long way down. But the view is worth it. Looking out over Balbriggan from up here is something special, and I knew I wanted to capture it.
This painting was awarded First Place at the Balbriggan on-the-day exhibition during the festival, which made finally painting this view feel even more worthwhile.

Returns
I want you to be happy with your painting, so if for any reason you don’t like it, you can return it back to me within 7 days from the date you received it and I will refund full amount minus PayPal/credit card fee. This time you will be responsible for delivery charges so pick your painting wisely. If the painting was damaged during transit I will cover all return costs.
I do everything I can so the images online accurately represent the painting. But all the screens differ, so there might be slight differences in colour. Before purchasing please try viewing the painting on different screen (laptop, pc, phone etc)
Frame
I offer simple white box frame with acrylic glass for all my limited edition prints. If you are interested in different frame please contact me, and I can have that arranged for you for an additional fee.
