This painting stayed with me for a long time before it became what I wanted it to be. I began it last year, but every time I looked at it, it felt too controlled, too careful. I wasn’t interested in painting a perfect wave – I wanted to capture the feeling of being by the sea, the freedom, the movement, and the joy that keeps drawing me back to it.
Coming back to it in my new studio changed everything. Having enough space to step away, to look, to leave it for a while and return with fresh eyes, allowed me to let go. I worked back into the surface with layers of pencil, loosening the paint and allowing the wave to move instead of describing it.
The touch of yellow on the horizon became a thread of warmth running through the painting, holding the shifting blues and echoing those moments when the sea seems full of possibility.
For me, this painting is about that feeling of standing by the water, where everything is alive, constantly changing, and completely free.

Most of orders are dispatched on Thursdays or Fridays. Please contact me if you need it posted sooner.
International delivery differs from 5-14 working days.
Returns
I want you to be happy with your painting, so if for any reason you don’t like it, you can return it back to me within 7 days from the date you received it and I will refund full amount minus PayPal/credit card fee. This time you will be responsible for delivery charges so pick your painting wisely. If the painting was damaged during transit I will cover all return costs.
I do everything I can so the images online accurately represent the painting. But all the screens differ, so there might be slight differences in colour. Before purchasing please try viewing the painting on different screen (laptop, pc, phone etc)
Frame
I offer simple white box frame with acrylic glass for all my limited edition prints. If you are interested in different frame please contact me, and I can have that arranged for you for an additional fee.
